A Knight and lady meet deep in the darkest part of the forest. Symbolic and mythical beasts gather round in support, a horse looks apprehensively around for possible enemies. Below spies gather, and small, strange creatures go about their lives.
An isolated tower and stronghold is defended by chastity and Roses. The complex maze and closely grown forest are no match for the anachronistic onslaught! Snipers entwine themselves in the branches, attack balloons drift menacingly above whilst in the distance SWAT teams descend from a whirring helicopter, parashutes bloom and missiles are menacingly launched....

Robert Staermose is an unassuming, quietly spoken and modest artist; an extremely rare quality in the art world! Unashamedly unimpressed by technology and self promotion he nevertheless has sold many of his originals for several thousands of pounds and has exhibited his work at the Royal AcademySummer Exhibition, The Mall Galleries, Rye Art Gallery and the Easton Rooms in Rye. Robert Staermose has painted pub signs, designed and painted several exploding effigies for The Battle Bonfire Society and illustrated books for well known publishers. He works in Gouache, acrylic and oil and amazingly often paints originals that are smaller than the resulting limited edition prints!
