Yes! a play on the title of the art side of the site
Many of those who vist Ryepress are unaware that for a thankfully short time I was better known as a singer / songwriter locally than as an artist.. For several years I performed my satirical songs and parodies at gigs and open mic nights around Hastings and Rye. Over the last few years the gallery and my painting and printmaking have left me little time to rehearse and I have drifted out of practice. Never a natural musician, I nevertheless was proud of the body of songs I had written although I placed far more importance on the lyrics than my singing or guitar playing abilities.
I have gone through most of these lyrics and edited and adapted them to present here as poetry. Hopefully I will add more as time goes on.
